Can I smack Bill Maher please? Just one time, really hard!
This was a great piece, and actually as funny as I've seen him in ages - nice to see he can serve some purpose, wrong and misguided as he is.
I used to be such a huge Maher fan, but he's just not as informed as he should be. It's all about what he THINKS, instead of what he KNOWS, and frankly, I can't take it. Watching his show just puts me in a rage, from screaming at the tv.
And the worst part is the stupidity! IT'S COUNTER PRODUCTIVE! He and Walsh, and the rest of them, SHOULD be saying "we need to focus, work hard, and get MORE Dems elected to congress, take back the House, and get a REAL majority in the Senate." Then we won't have to keep making these horrible compromises, but instead . . . they just keep whining and crying in their milk, and behaving as though they really don't have clue how divided government works. Instead of inspiring people to get off the couch and VOTE, they inspire them to stay home, and THAT is how we lost the GD House in the first place!
And the SOB Maher had the NERVE to say we would have been better off under Hillary Clinton. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was one of the F'ers out that mindlessly hammering her day, after day after day, with maniacal stars in his eyes for Obama! He, and the rest of the left wing media handed us Obama on a silver plate, apparently without listening to a word Obama was saying, and NOW they want to invoke Hillary Clinton?!? I'd like to smack him so hard.
""While I can appreciate the financial logic of drowning television viewers in a flood of opinions designed to confirm their own biases, the trend is not good for the republic...This is to journalism what Bernie Madoff was to investment: He told his customers what they wanted to hear, and by the time they learned the truth, their money was gone."
